GP Training & Students

MEDICAL STUDENTS

Three times a year, there are final year medical students from Imperial College, London attached to the practice for 3 weeks. A notice will be posted in Reception when they are with us. If you would prefer to see the doctor alone, please do not hesitate to tell the receptionist.

GP TRAINING

This practice is an approved Training Practice for doctors who are in the final year of their training to become GPs, having worked as hospital doctors for at least 3 – 4 years. Dr Sabourin and Dr Wallis are the GP Trainers and the whole practice is involved in training. The doctor undergoing training is called a GP Registrar and is usually attached to the practice for 12 months. They hold their own surgeries and should be able to deal with the full range of medical problems. As part of their training they are required to video some consultations. Your permission will always be sought and you can refuse permission.
