League of Friends Voluntary Car service
This service is provided by voluntary drivers who transport patients to the Surgery or hospital appointments when it is not possible for family or friends to take them. A small charge is made, depending on the mileage involved. Advance notice is required. Please be prepared for the transport coordinator to ask some basic questions about your hospital appointment. This enables her to send a suitable driver and to estimate the time involved
If you need assistance with transport, please let the Surgery receptionists know the date, time and place as soon as you have been notified. Currently the service is very busy and we are having difficulty in finding sufficient drivers so early booking is essential.
